2022 Nouveau Field Blend 6pk

The 2022 Nouveau is made from Grenache and Shiraz grapes grown on the Lloyd Brothers McLaren Vale Estate. The Shiraz, grown on the terraces overlooking the town of McLaren Vale, was handpicked with minimum time on skins prior to slow, cool ferment. The Grenache was hand-picked from the estate’s bush vineswith the best parcels for this early drinking nouveau style having a percentage of whole bunches in the open ferments, adding to the lift and brightness. This has resulted in a delicious wine with fresh red fruit, a hint of spice and a soft velvety finish.

“A blend of 52/48% grenache/shiraz. This is a great deal of fun and the sort of wine to guzzle chilled on a hot day. Bright and mid-weighted of mouthfeel, yet pulpy, effusive of energy and as silken as Aladdin’s cloak in the mind’s eye. Tamarind, sour cherry, strawberry and a skein of white pepper-doused acidity towing length. Crafted with consideration for the contemporary table.
